A motion graphics experiment straight from the lab.
My friends and I had a creepy time in the hills of Fuerteventura. Sand, boulders and scrub as far as the eye can see. For me, this barren desert landscape was truly inspiring.
I’ve bought some books for inspirational purposes. I highly recommend both of them.
1.) The Animator’s Survival Kit – by Richard Williams
Wow, everything you need to know about walk-cycles and character movement itself.
Hopefully, I’ll find the time to experiment a little during the upcoming holidays. Although I don‘t think I’ll ever really master this unique type of art.
2.) Cartoon Modern – by Amid Amid
This one is about style and design in fifties animation. Man, I love these artsy-fartsy cartoon drawings from back in the days.
